Making children wear Amber beads necklace for teething

Question

I would like to find out if it's permissible to make a baby wear an Amber beads necklace. It's been said to assist with teething troubles, prevent infections etc.

Answer

If the beads do have medicinal benefits and are proven to be helpful medically then it is permissible. And if it is merely a superstition then it should be avoided.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
