Wearing "Kaali Poth"

Question

My wife wears "Kaali Poth" which married Muslim women wear in Andhra Pradesh, India. Is it haraam to wear it? Will her Salaat be valid if she prays wearing it?

Answer

If this has got any superstition and has something to do with Hinduism or any other religion or it is a way or the dress of people who are not committed to Deen then avoid it.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
