Does thinking of worldly things while in prayer makes the prayer invalid?

Question

Does thinking of worldly things while in prayer makes the prayer invalid? How do I know that my prayers are being accepted?

Answer

This will not invalidate the prayer. However, to intentionally think of worldly things and affairs during salaah is not permissible and causes the reward of the salaah to be lost.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
