Sajdah Shukr

Question

Can sajdah shukr be done immediately and openly.

Answer

It is permissible to make sajdah-e-shukr at the time one receives good news. However, the sajdah should be made with the correct etiquette of sajdah (i.e. in a paak (pure) place facing the qiblah in the state of wudhu and at a time when salaah is not makrooh e.g. sunrise, sunset and zawaal).

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
