Will a person who makes taubah after committing zina see Allah Ta'ala in Jannah?

Question

I heard that if someone does zina and asks Allah Ta'ala for forgiveness, Allah Ta'ala forgives that person but that person wouldn’t be allowed to see Allah Ta'ala in Jannah? Is it authentic?

Answer

This is not correct. After a person is forgiven, he is like a person who did not commit any sin.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
