What is meant by remembrance of Allah?

Question

What is meant by remembrance of Allah? Does it mean things like zikr? Saying Subhanallah, Alhumdulillah, etc? Is dua remembrance of Allah?

What if you remember Allah in your heart or mind, is that also remembrance of Allah?

Answer

Whatever reminds you of Allah Ta`ala, this could be words like "Subhaanallah" or the recitation of the Quraan Shareef or engaging in namaaz or listening carefully about Allah and His rasul (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), all these are different forms of remembrance.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
