Breaking oaths and promises

Question

As a child I would not take promises and oaths seriously and this continued even after buloogh... I am 18 years old and only now have I realized the seriousness of it. What do I do?

Answer

Whatever was done before you were baaligh you are not accountable for that. Now that you are baaligh then be careful of what you say and do, for you are accountable for your big and small actions.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
