Adding music to a presentation

Question

I am a student and need to present about a topic that later on contains information about old music and a piece of it for people to listen.. Is it permissible to present it or am I going to be sinful?

Answer

Our ulama have declared music as impermissible, whether it is one piece of music or many pieces. Just as whether it is one bottle of wine or many bottles, it is the same.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
