Giving azaan into a new born baby's ear

Question

Is it sunnah to give azaan into a new born baby’s ear and is there any hadith provided?

Answer

Yes, it is sunnah. The Hadith appears in Sunan Tirmizi that when Hazrat Hasan (radhiyallahu anhu) was born, Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) gave the azaan in his ear.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
