Ex husband contacting a mahram of the wife regarding the child's well-being
Question
Husband and I are divorced. When it comes to the baby... who should he liase with regarding her wellbeing, visitation and her needs for the month? Should he contact my parents or should he contact me?
Answer
Now that you both are divorced, he should not contact you. Rather, he should contact your father, brother or any other mahram.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Who are a woman's mahrams?
“This is not permissible. If the woman is not your mahram, then this is obviously haraam and if the woman is your mahram e.g. your mother or sister then too this is not permissible and is against the Islamic teachings.”
