Musaafir performing qasr salaah in the airport

Question

A person leaves his home for travels. The airport is approx 20km away. Does he read Qasr Salaah at the airport, as it is still within the boundary of his home, or does he qualify for Qasr Salaah as he already left home with the intention of traveling?

Answer

If the airport is out of the boundary of his town where he lives, then he will make qasr at the airport, as he is a musaafir and his safar had commenced.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
