Question

With regards to the permissibility of using Aafiyah Healing, Bodytalk & Reiki as alternate healing/treatment, the treatment which is of great concern is one which is carried out by a practitioner abroad.

All she requires are names of patients, other family members and maybe a few other details.

There are no one on one consultations, to the extent she can tell things about patients and their problems even whilst the patient is asleep.

Answer

Exactly what is in the unseen is known only by Allah Ta`ala. All the practitioner can do is diagnose the sickness and through experience he may say that this is what is wrong with the patient, for example, blood pressure, cancer, diabetes etc. However, to talk about things beyond this, such as that this person is the culprit or he is the enemy then this is speculation and guess work. There is no doubt about this being impermissible and haraam.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
