Resident of Makkah coming out from the meeqaat

Question

Does a resident of Makkah have to tie an ihraam every time he exits the meeqaat?

Answer

It is permissible for him to leave the Haram to enter the Hill and thereafter return to the Haram without tying ihraam. The Hill refers to the area between the boundary of the Haram of Makkah Mukarramah and the meeqaat.

However, if he comes out of the meeqaat and thereafter wishes to return to Makkah Mukarramah, then since he has come out of the meeqaat, he will have to tie ihraam before passing the meeqaat (as is the law of the one who lives beyond the meeqaat).

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
