Question

What should be done in the case where the deceased made a bequest that Hajj-e-Badl be performed on his behalf from his wealth, however one-third of the estate is insufficient to meet the expenses of the hajj from his hometown?

Answer

The heirs should appoint someone to perform the Hajj-e-Badl from a place where the money will suffice to meet the expenses.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
