Will Hajj-e-Badl be compulsory if one passed away during the journey of Hajj?
Question
A person upon whom hajj became fardh did not delay in performing hajj and set out for hajj the same year. However, during the journey, he passed away. Does Hajj-e-Badl have to be performed on his behalf?
Answer
Since he did not delay in setting out to perform hajj, Hajj-e-Badl will not have to be performed on his behalf.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
