Keeping a qadha fast for a fast that was not valid from the beginning
Question
I started fasting on the day of Aashura which was just when my haidh ended (my haidh ended the previous day, it lasted for 7 days), but after breaking my fast I noticed spotting. Do I have to keep qadha of that nafl fast?
Answer
If this spotting is within 10 days, then it will be regarded as your haiz. Hence, your fast was not valid as you were still in your haiz. Accordingly, you will not have to keep a qadha fast as your fast was not valid from the beginning.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
