Women wearing rings made of stone

Question

Could Mufti Saheb kindly advise if women are allowed to wear rings of stone.

Alhamdulillah I have learnt that women are not allowed to wear rings of different metals besides gold or silver. But, are women allowed to wear rings completely made of jade, agate, other stones or possibly, other materials such as plastic?

Answer

If the ring is made of gold or silver and it has a stone placed on it, then it will be permissible. However, if the entire ring is made of only stone, then it is not permissible for a woman to wear such a ring.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
