How to not belittle sin

Question

How to not belittle sin?

Will persisting in sin lead to kufr? What kind of persisting in sin lead to kufr? Such as if a person commits zina proudly until he dies, will it be considered as kufr?

Answer

Understand the being whose command is being violated. The more you understand the being whose command is being trampled, the more you will see it as a serious crime and you will feel embarrassed about yourself.

Rather than pursuing all of this, make taubah and istighfaar and leave the sin.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
