· 10 Jumada I 1447 AH1 min readEnglish

Question

If a woman cheats on her husband, and this leads to a divorce, does he still have to provide nafaqah during her iddat?

Answer

If she remains in his home, then it is compulsory upon him to provide nafaqah for her. However, if she does not spend iddat in his home, then it is not compulsory upon him to provide nafaqah for her during the iddat period.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
