Zakaat on 5 tola gold

Question

My wife has 5 tola gold and £600. How much would her zakat be?

Answer

She will discharge 2.5 percent of all of that i.e. £15 and 0.125 tola equivalent to 1.458 g of gold.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
