Keeping the name Maariyah

Question

Would it be appropriate to name our daughter Maariyah?

Answer

Hazrat Maariyah (radhiyallahu 'anha) was the slave woman of Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam). Keeping the name Maariyah for one's baby girl is permissible.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
