Question

In order to find the properties which my deceased father owned, we need to conduct a deed search. Should the fee for the deed search be shared equally between all the heirs (i.e. the two sons and two daughters) or should the fee be shared between the heirs according to their stipulated shares of inheritance (i.e. the sons will pay double the amount the daughters pay)?

Answer

If all the heirs agree to hire the person for this purpose, then the fee will be shared between all the heirs equally.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
