Heirs having rights in the estate of the deceased
Question
After a male has passed away, does his wife, who is under iddah have any say of his affairs and who is in control of his affairs? Does his sons and his sisters have the final say, or does his widow still have a say in his estate and affairs?
Answer
After the husband passes away, all the heirs have a right in his estate according to their stipulated shares of inheritance.
No heir can decide independently without consulting with the other heirs. After each heir receives his share, he/ she may decide in it as they please.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
