Nikaah without the mention of mahr

Question

I have married just 6 years ago. It was a love marriage. I didn't have a condition at that time to pay for mahr. But then I have paid some money to her. Please tell me is our nikaah valid?

Answer

If the nikaah was made, then the nikaah is valid. Mentioning the mahr is not a condition for the nikaah to be valid.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
