Question

Please advise me on the following concerning paying of zakaat. I have invested capital in a partnership which provides a service. There is no stock which is purchased for selling. Do I pay zakat on the full capital investment as well as profits earned or only on profits earned?

Answer

If there is any capital that is in liquid form then zakaat is payable on it as well as the profits that are generated.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
