Keeping dogs as pets

Question

Dogs are not allowed as pets in homes else angels will not enter in the homes I've heard it, is it true? If it is then why is it so?

Answer

This is true. This is recorded in the Hadith.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
