Question

People give mehndhi of the dargah to a girl who is not receiving proposals for marriage. They say she must perform two rakaats Salaah before applying it. Is this shirk?

Answer

Applying mehndhi of the dargah for marriage proposals as well as reading two rakaat salaah for marriage proposals is a baseless practice. Hence one should refrain from this practice. However Salaatul haajat can be performed for any need.
