Question

A couple engaged in a mut'a marriage. They realized after some time that mut'a is not allowed. Is their nikaah valid or should they perform another nikaah?

Answer

Mut'ah is not a nikaah, instead it is zina. They should sincerely repent to Allah Ta'ala for being involved in zina and perform nikaah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
