Question

My wife died recently. I like to know about wiraasat. We have a son and wife's parents are alive and she also has one brother. Can you please let me know how much share will each get?

Answer

The estate will be divided into 12 equal shares and distributed as follows:

Father will receive 2 shares

Mother will receive 2 shares

Husband will receive 3 shares

Son will receive 5 shares

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
