What is the reason behind burning loban or charcoal on a Thursday?

Question

What is the reason behind burning loban or charcoal on a Thursday? And do you burn after Asr or after Maghrib?

Answer

It does not have to be on a Thursday. It is recommended that we use some good smelling itr or lobaan etc. and perfume the house regularly, more especially the area where namaaz is normally performed.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
