Inheritance

Question

I am married have a son and daughter, I want to know what the inheritance percentages are supposed to be. My mother is also still alive. What is the percentage I am supposed to leave for her as well?

Answer

If these are the only surviving heirs at the time of your death then the estate will be divided into 36 equal shares and distributed as follows:

Husband will receive 9 shares

Mother will receive 6 shares

Son will receive 14 shares

Daughter will receive 7 shares

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
