Is exchanging of gifts permissible before nikaah?

Question

Is exchanging of gifts permissible before nikaah? Does it fall in the hukm of bribe?

Answer

It is permissible. However one should refrain from extravagance, show or anything which is impermissible in Shari'ah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
