Is dyeing hair black permissible?

“Our response to your query is as follows: When it comes to hair dye, then it will be permissible to use as long as it’s not done to resemble the disbelievers, and the ingredients are not impure and will not form a coating on the hair that will prevent water getting through.”

Other colours such as brown, etc. may be used for dyeing the hair; but that too when the hair has turned grey or white. However, one should refrain from using loud/fashionable colours or streaking the hair.”
