Cleaning Clothes Soiled Due To A Nocturnal Emission

Question

When u have a wet dream how do u wash your clothes that it messed ?

Answer

The mess that has reached the clothes is either going to be wet or dry, if the mess is wet, it must be washed off and if it is dry it can be scrapped off. This will be taken into consideration when the sperm is so thick that the watery substance does not pass on into the clothes a person is wearing and dries up on top of the cloth, in today’s time we find this is mostly not the case, rather the watery substance does go into the clothes, therefore one shall wash the mess up with water to purify his clothes.

وأما المني إذا أصاب الثوب، فإن كان رطبا فهو نجس ويجب غسله، وإن جف على الثوب أجزأ فيه الفرك استحسانا، (العناية شرح الهداية 1/196 دار الفكر)

قلت: أرأيت المني يكون في الثوب فيَجِفّ فيَحُكُّه الرجل؟ قال: يجزيه ذلك.( الأَصْلُ 1/47 دار ابن حزم، بيروت – لبنان)

والفرك إنما يؤثر زوال المفروك أو تقليله وذلك فيما له جرم، والرقيق المائع لا يحصل من فركه هذا الغرض فيدخل مني المرأة إذا كان غليظا ويخرج مني الرجل إذا كان رقيقا لعارض (رد المحتار على الدر المختار 1/313 سعيد)
