Erroneously Standing Up As A Masbooq To Complete The Salaah

Question

While praying in Salaah with Jamaat, if the Imaam made Salaam and the person gets up as a Masbooq, but after two seconds remembers that he is not a Massbooq, thereafter he sat down and made Salaam, is his Salaah correct?

Answer

This type of mistake necessitates Sajdah Sahw. In this scenario Sajdah Sahw was not made and the time of that Salaah has elapsed. Therefore, it will be better to repeat the Salaah.
