Question

Is it against the etiquettes of the masjid to sit crosslegged

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum Wa-Rahmatullāhi Wa-Barakātuh.

No. It is not against the etiquettes of the musjid to sit cross-legged. [1]

After performing the fajr salaah, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) remained seated cross-legged in his place, till the sun had risen.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows Best.
