Question

Is it permissible to go for treatment to Indian Ayurveda herbal Hindu doctors and use the herbal medicine they administer?

Answer

There is no harm in using the herbal medication if it is free of any prayers of Kufr and Haraam ingredients. However, one should refrain from visiting Ayurveda herbal Hindu doctors as they promote Yoga and meditation which has connotations of Kufr. It is also possible that they seek assistance from their deities when treating patients, hence we advise abstention. We as Muslims firmly believe that cure is only from Allah and not from the doctors, hence we should only utilize permissible means of Shifa and thereafter place our trust in Almighty Allah.
