Eating Haraam Unknowingly
Question
If a Muslim you trust gives you something to eat and you later find out it might not have been Halaal, are you at fault? Should you have enquired further?
Answer
Since it was not in your knowledge that the item was Haraam, you will not be sinful. Additionally, you should turn towards Allah Ta’ala in repentance. However, caution must be given in the future to avoid situations like this one.
