Marrying a Shia
Question
My question is can a Sunni man marry a woman who is a Zaidi (Shia) since Zaidi's are closer to Sunnis than Shias?
Answer
Generally the shiahs don't believe in the Qur'aan as it was. Many a times they revile the Sahaabah. To believe that the Qur'aan has been changed or a word has been left out is disbelief and nikaah with a disbeliever is impermissible.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
