Qunoot-e-Naazila in Jumuah salaah

Question

We have read qunoot-e-Naazila in Jumuah salaah (for problems in Syria). Is it allowed and is our salaah valid or should be repeated?

Answer

Qunoot e naazila can be read in Fajr salaah. Besides Fajr it should not be read in other salaah. However, the Jumma salaah will not have to be repeated.

في الأشباه عن الغاية قنت في صلاة الفجر ويؤيده ما في شرح المنية حيث قال بعدكلام فتكون شرعيته أي شرعية القنوت في النوازل مستمرة وهو محمل قنوت من قنت من الصحابة بعد وفاته عليه الصلاة والسلام وهو مذهبنا وعليه الجمهور وقال الحافظ أبو جعفر الطحاوي إنما لا يقنت عندنا في صلاة الفجر من غير بلية فإن وقعت فتنة أو بلية فلا بأس به فعله رسول الله وأما القنوت في الصلوات كلها للنوازل فلم يقل به إلا الشافعي وكأنهم حملوا ما روي عنه عليه الصلاة والسلام أنه قنت في الظهر والعشاء كما في مسلم وأنه قنت في المغرب أيضا كما في البخاري على النسخ لعدم ورود المواظبة والتكرار الواردين في الفجر عنه عليه الصلاة والسلام ا هـ

وهو صريح في أن قنوت النازلة عندنا مختص بصلاة الفجر دون غيرهامن الصلوات الجهرية أو السرية (شامي 2/11)
