Reciting qunoot-e-naazilah in jahri Salaah

Question

In the Hanafi Mazhab, is it permissible for the Imaam to recite qunoot-e-naazilah in all jahri Salaah or is it only permissible for him to recite it in Fajr Salaah?

Answer

According to the hanafi mazhab, it is only permissible for the Imaam to recite qunoot-e-naazilah in the Fajr Salaah. It is not permissible for the Imaam to recite the qunoot-e-naazilah in any other Salaah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

(قوله فيقنت الإمام في الجهرية) يوافقه ما في البحر والشرنبلالية عن شرح النقابة عن الغاية: وإن نزل بالمسلمين نازلة قنت الإمام في صلاة الجهر. وهو قول الثوري وأحمد اهـ وكذا ما في شرح الشيخ إسماعيل عن البنانية: إذا وقعت نازلة قنت الإمام في الصلاة الجهرية، لكن في الأشباه عن الغاية: قنت في صلاة الفجر، ويؤيده ما في شرح المنية حيث قال بعد كلام: فتكون شرعيته: أي شرعية القنوت في النوازل مستمرة، وهو محمل قنوت من قنت من الصحابة بعد وفاته - عليه الصلاة والسلام -، وهو مذهبنا وعليه الجمهور. وقال الحافظ أبو جعفر الطحاوي: إنما لا يقنت عندنا في صلاة الفجر من غير بلية، فإن وقعت فتنة أو بلية فلا بأس به... ـ وهو صريح في أن قنوت النازلة عندنا مختص بصلاة الفجر دون غيرها من الصلوات الجهرية أو السرية (الشامي ص11 ج2)
