Property distribution

Question

Property worth Rs 3150000/- INR has been sold by my dad. And now wants to distribute same among the family. Family includes Father, 1 Son and 2 daughters. Property to be distributed among 4 members. Please advise how much amount will be alloted to each one as per sharia law.

Answer

If this is the case of an estate then the estate will be divided into 24 equal shares and distributed as follows:

Father will receive 4 shares - 525000

Son will receive 10 shares - 1312500

Each daughter will receive 5 shares - 656250

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
