Is abortion in the first month of pregnancy considered as murder?

Question

My mother got pregnant and got the baby aborted. I think it was in the first month of pregnancy. Is this considered a murder?

Answer

Though this is not equal to murder, however this is not permissible if done without any justifiable sha'ree reason.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
