Living in Madinah Munawwarah

Question

Is it makrooh to live in Madinah as I heard that it is makrooh to live in Makkah as the sins committed there is more punishing? Can anyone live in Madinah permanently from any other country?

Answer

It is makrooh for that person who is not careful and does not know the adab of living in such a place. He must learn the adab and correct himself and then reside in these places. These are places of great respect and auspiciousness. Not respecting these places can lead one to great spiritual deprivation.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
