Masah on Khuffain With Holes

Question

Can you make masah on khuffain that have holes in them?

Answer

If it is one or two small holes (size of a finger or so) then Namaaz will take place.

( والخرق الكبير ) بموحدة أو مثلثة ( وهو قدر ثلاث أصابع القدم الأصاغر ) بكمالها ومقطوعها يعتبر بأصابع مماثلة ( يمنعه ) وفي رد المحتار : قوله ( وهو قدر ثلاث أصابع ) يعني طولا وعرضا بأن سقطت جلدة مقدار ثلاث أصابع وعرضها كذا في حاشية يعقوب باشا على صدر الشريعة فليحفظ (رد المحتار 1/273)
