Saying jazakallah and Wa iyyak to elders

Question

Is it okay to say Jazakallah and Wa iyyak to elders (e.g. ustaad, parents)?

Answer

Jazakallah is sufficient. You do not need to say wa iyyak.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
