Tying ihraam from Jeddah
Question
If a person coming from Australia on a tourist visa to Saudi Arabia, to his parents and performs umrah also, how may days he should stay in Jeddah to become a muqeem and make ihraam from Jeddah to perfom umrah?
Answer
To become a muqeem in Jeddah he needs to be there for 15 days at least. If he has come primarily to see his parents residing in Jeddah, then irrespective of the time he stays there he can tie his ihraam from there.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
