Anaesthetist administering anaesthetic for plastic surgery

Question

Is it permissible for an anaesthetic doctor to work with a plastic surgeon who may do cosmetic surgery i.e a patient is booked for cosmetic surgery and the anaesthetist will be required to put the patient to sleep for the procedure?

Answer

Undergoing plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons is not permissible in shariah. Hence, you should avoid administering the anaesthetic for these types of cases.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
