Reciting Surah Baqarah as a ruqyah
Question
I was informed of a ruqyah about a person who if he is facing some evil eye or is not able to proceed in life that he should recite Surah Al Baqarah over some water and dry blow into it for 3 days, and take that water and splash it on his stuff.
Is this a form of shirk? If it is not, what are the steps to take to perform such a ritual?
Answer
No. This is a type of treatment.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Is ruqyah (reciting for healing) permissible?
“One should avoid blowing on food and drinks. It is against the etiquette of eating and drinking to do. It would be better and closer to proper manners, to wait for one’s food or drink to cool down before eating/drinking.”
