Imaam facing the congregation after salaah and making zikr
Question
After leading a congregation in Fard salah, some Imams choose to do zikr after turning and facing the congregation directly or turn and sit at an angle facing the congregation. Is this based on a sunnah?
Answer
If they are doing silent zikr individually or reciting their azkaar and masnoon duas after salaah while seated on the musallah in the manner you explained (i.e. facing the congregation or facing to the right or left), then this is established in the sunnah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
